I feel that it would be a disservice to everyone if I didn't assemble
some great University of
Florida stuff right here. Of course, this page is always a work in
progress. As I get more stuff, I will put it up here. Now for the legal
stuff: This page is in no way affiliated with the University of Florida.
Use of official logos does not imply official acceptance from the University.
Now that is done, Go Gators!
Fun with Internet Search Engines
A few months back, we were searching Excite.com's search engine for "arrest
records for seminole county, florida" - of course, the first link
that popped up was FSUSports.com. While it's no surprise that a search
for arrest records would bring up articles about the Florida State football
program, I thought you would all enjoy to see the proof.
Note: FSUSports.com appears to have disappeared. Oh well... ;)
The Great #7
I
was fortunate enough to have a friend in a class with Danny Wuerffel my
freshman year at Florida. Because of that, I was able to get his autograph
on the September 25, 1995 issue of Sports Illustrated.
What a great game! If I recall correctly, SI had planned to put Peyton
Manning on the cover, but changed to Danny after his performance against
the Vols. Tennessee took an impressive 30-14 lead and then the deluge
of points and rain began. Going on a 48-0 run in the second half, Florida
marched on to a 62-37 victory.
In this game, Danny...
- threw for 381 yards
- threw an amazing 74.4% completion percentage, 29 for 39
- scored 7 touchdowns: 6 thrown, one run in
