Erica's Page

My name is Erica J. Marceau and I'm the resident Game Guru for the Mac OS Journal. I've been playing games ever since I begged my grandparents to buy me an SNES one Christmas. When my dad bought a Performa 6300CD, I got my hands on all of the computer game demos I could. The first demo I played was Prime Target, which got me hooked on first-person shooters, a genre I didn't think I would like. The first computer game I bought was Myst and bought it at Costco where I snagged the last Macintosh copy there. Ever since then, I've gotten my hands on as many games as possible and my goal is to be known as an expert on games. My favorite genres are role-playing, strategy, and first-person shooters. I will be reviewing all sorts of products for the Mac OS Journal in addition to games and writing The Gaming Landscape.

I'm also a loyal member of the Clan Lord game and you can see me there as Jeanne. She's a recent member of the second circle and is working hard to pass to the third circle in order to buy a white belt to go with her all-purple ensemble. She is also a member of the Light & Shadow clan and I welcome you to visit her web site.

I will be reviewing all sorts of products for the Mac OS Journal in addition to games and writing The Gaming Landscape.

Apart from gaming, I go to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ and am majoring in Electrical Engineering. I am a member of the University's Japanese Animé/Manga club (JAMC), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Embry-Riddle Role Playing Association (ERRPA). I hold the office of secretary in the IEEE and am the Press Secretary of the ERRPA where I'll also be making a new web site. I graduate this December and I hope to work for TI, 3dfx, or Apple. I am so happy that school is almost finished.

My favorite anime is Sorcerer Hunters (Bakuretsu Hunter), Vision of Escaflowne, Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon, Flame of Recca, and Fushigi Yuugi. I prefer subbed over dubbed because I just can't trust US companies to not remove material from dubbed animé. The current destruction of Sailor Moon S and Card Captor Sakura (oh, excuse me, I meant Cardcaptors *puke*) is ample proof of this. All animé that has some action in it is a favorite of mine and if I can laugh so much the better. The figure above is my favorite Sailor Moon character. Sailor Saturn, the senshi (soldier) of destruction and rebirth. She also uses a tall glaive as her weapon and its name is the Silence Glaive. That's why my favorite color is purple, although emerald is a close contender.

I am glad to be here at the Mac OS Journal and look forward to writing about my most favorite topic above everything else, the Macintosh.
