September 2000 || Volume 01, Issue 02

September is Upon Us!

Wow! I can't believe that it's already September! A time when everyone starts getting wrestless, waiting for the cool stuff that Uncle Steve talked about at MacWorld to finally ship! Add to that the double whammy of the upcoming release of OS X beta (which should be out before our next issue is released), and you are seeing a bunch of bright eyed Macophiles in the streets these days. I'm one of them. Of course, I'm also excited because college football season is starting. This is a magical September indeed.

The New Stuff

So, what's new with us? Well, we got lots of good feedback from our premiere issue... and we've put a lot of work into following it up this month. There's a lot for you to discover today: new columns, another awesome feature, and quality reviews. So let's dive in!

Starting with our new columnists:

Rob Stevenson - For those of you who love the Internet and want to find out what making web pages is all about, Rob will be starting from scratch in Simply Web.

Nancy Johnson - Nancy is a Web Designer by trade in Western Canada. She will be taking HTML to the next level, demonstrating techniques and skills for advanced web site development in HTML: Above and Beyond.

Daniel Nuñez - Daniel is a Graphic Designer for a prestigious advertising agency in the southwest US. He'll be bringing his considerable experience to a new column called The Graphic Eye. His column is also available in Spanish (El Ojo Gráphico in Español).

Also, as you may already know, one of our columnists has recently started working at Apple in Cupertino. Randy recently graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York and decided to turn his move to California into a cross country adventure. This month, you will see his first four stops in our feature column. And if you like what you see, expect four more to arrive next issue.

Ahhh... Reviews

I am just amazed! In all of the time that I've been involved in publishing, this is the first time that I've seen so many quality Mac products available at once. This issue, we're pleased to offer you five reviews of products of such amazing calibur, that they all received 4.5 Smileys or better from their reviewer. Having played with all of the programs reviewed, I can say that every single one of these programs is phenomenal. Remember, you can read all of the reviews ever published on our reviews page.

Well, On With the Show

I've you've been kind enough to make it this far, I don't want to hold you back any longer. There are a lot of excellent articles this issue, and you all have been patient :) Don't forget, if you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to email me or any of the staff.
